Emb@RC stands for exploration, motivation and boundlessness @ Renaissance College and this year it will take place between Nov 9th-13th, 2026. Emb@RC Week is a crucial component of our student's educational experience, it gives them an opportunity to engage in learning outside of the classroom, to take time away from their academic studies, develop holistically and participate in activities to build collaboration, leadership and more. All students must participate in Emb@RC Week and the activities provide our students with a platform to develop their experiential learning and appreciate life outside of school.
Students will have a launch assembly during the week commencing Monday 2nd March, where the details of EMB@RC week 2026 will be shared with them.
The assembly will include information about the trip selection process.
The EOTC website will be shared with students on Monday 9th March, this is the place to explore all of the trips on offer and find full details about each one.
Students will be emailed a Google Form on Monday 16th March 2026, to indicate their trip preferences, with sign ups closing at 5pm on Friday 20th March 2026.
Students will be able to choose from the Year 7 and 8 local CNH camp, Year 8 only trip to Fujian, Year 8 and 9 Xi'an trip, Wolfies Football camp and Basketball camp.
For those students who do not wish to attend any of the camps listed above, we will also run a Hong Kong Greeters day camp, for a limited number of attendees.
Each Year 7 student (Year 8 in November 2026) must select their preferences from the options and include a short citation explaining their interest in their chosen activities.
Students will be notified of their assigned trip in late April/May. Once a confirmation email has been received, you will be given instructions for paying a deposit for Fujian and Xi’an. Failure to pay a deposit, means you may lose your spot. Payment for local trips will be requested at a later date.
Please make sure you write your citation for why you want to attend one of these camps carefully and thoughtfully; you should advocate for your inclusion on your chosen activity.
Your successful selection for overseas camps includes your citation and discussion with Head of Year/trip leader, which considers a number of factors.
If trips are oversubscribed, spaces cannot be guaranteed, equallly if trips are undersubscribed, they may not run.
2026 Year 8 International Options
2026 Year 8 Local Options
You should choose activities that are personally challenging and give you a chance to do something you might not otherwise do. Don't pick activities simply because your friends are choosing them. This is your chance to get to know different people and find people with a similar interest to you!
Before submitting your Google Form, be sure to discuss all options with your parents/guardians. You will not be permitted to change activities after you have submitted your choices, unless there is a valid reason/an emergency takes place.
While students are not guaranteed to receive their first option of activities, we will try our best to accommodate your needs and interests by working with the options you've selected. If none of these options can be arranged, we will reach out to you with further information.
