The RCEIAA Code of Conduct should be reviewed by all participants prior to signing the Code of Conduct Agreement. The agreement must be signed prior to participating in any RCEIAA event, and submitted to the convenor at registration.
Please note that while spectators are not required to sign the Code of Conduct Agreement, they are held to the items in the Code, and will be removed from the event facility should their actions contradict the items in the Code of Conduct.
Play the game for the game’s sake.
Be generous in winning and be gracious in losing.
Be fair at all times no matter what the cost.
Be obedient to the rules.
Work for the good of the team.
Accept graciously the decision of the officials.
Believe in the honesty of your opponents.
Conduct yourself, at all times, with honour and dignity.
Recognize and applaud honestly and wholeheartedly the efforts of your teammates or opponents.
Congratulate your opponents.
Leave the playing area and changers as you found them – clean and neat.
Coach your players to play the game for the game’s sake.
The game should be fun for you and your players.
No advantages, except those of superior skill, are to be sought over others.
Officials and opponents are to be regarded and treated with respect.
Decisions of officials, no matter how unfair they may seem, are to be accepted without appearance of vexation.
The rules of the game are to be regarded as mutual agreements, the spirit or letter of which no one should try to evade or break.
To win is always desirable. But to win at any cost defeats the purpose of the game.
The Golden Rule applies to sports. That is, treat other persons as you, yourself, would like to be treated.
Congratulate your opponents.
Show your appreciation to the convenor for hosting the tournament.
Cheer in a positive manner.
Respect officials’ decisions.
Respect the coach's role and decision.
Do not interfere with the competition.
Keep off the playing area
Be courteous and respectful.
