1. All eighth-grade students should submit their online application by September 1st, 2024.
2. Student and family interviews will occur during September.
3. After interviews, an initial $600 deposit is due on September 1st. This deposit does not ensure a student's acceptance into the program. The deposit is a requirement for your application to be reviewed. Once accepted into the program, your deposit cannot be refunded. If you are not accepted in o the program. your deposit will be returned. Program acceptance typically occurs in September.
4. All parents/guardians hosting an exchange student must complete a NEW background check with the Rosendale-Brandon School District. These will be provided at the family interview. Please submit all necessary forms by the end of September.
1. Students will receive a letter regarding their participation in the program - acceptance or denial. Upon acceptance, your deposit cannot be refunded. If you are denied acceptance, your initial deposit will be returned.
2. Students should apply for their passports after acceptance.
1. A family meeting will be held to discuss student partnerships and general updates.
2. A second payment of $400 is due on November 30th.
1. Any remaining balance for the trip will be due by January 30th.
1. February is typically the month RBSD families host. (Specific Dates TBD)
1. April (or early May) is typically the month RBSD exchange students travel to Germany. (Specific Dates TBD)
