Homework

Every child should be reading for 10 minutes every day. Ideally to an adult, but we also encourage them to read to older siblings. We also love to hear that they are reading to younger siblings too. 

We also carry out weekly spellings and times tables tests. 

Homework 

In Year 3, we would like all the children to be reading at home and filling in their reading diaries. Reading diaries will be checked once a week. 

Alongside reading and spellings, could you please continue spending time helping your child be able to tell the time on both the analogue and digital clock.  

Along with being able to tie their own shoelaces, Year 3 should know their home address. Please also check they can spell their own last name, along with the parents, in case of an emergency.
