Year 3

Welcome to our Year 3 website. Here we will be able to send reminders, share letters, photos and key dates, as well as what the children are learning this term.

📖Reading morning is every Wednesday from 8:45 - 9:05am 📖

⚽PE days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ⚽

Trips and events

In the Autumn term the children will have the opportunity to visit the Higham Hill Library, St John's church and the Natural History Museum.

17th Dec: Beauty and the Incredible Beast Pantomime at Millfield Theatre

Swimming in the Spring term

Your child will need:

• To arrive on time every day;

• One-piece swimsuit / swim shorts (NO baggy or long shorts);

• Swimming hat (The Feel Good Centre require all children wear a hat for lessons);

• Goggles (optional);

• Towel;

• Change of underwear;

• Healthy snack- no nuts, no crisps or chocolates (fruit / cereal bar); 

• Reusable bottle of water;

• A large rucksack or bag to hold all of their belongings;

• Any necessary medication (handed in via the office).

Accessing Google Classrooms

Follow these steps to access Google Classroom: 

1) Open Google and type - login google classroom

2) Open the tab and enter the childrens login details: 

Username: the children have been sent home with their login. If you don't have it, it is the first 3 letters of their first name and the first 3 letters of their surname. For example: aaabbb@raymat.net. 

Password: All the children have a password which they are learning.  It is what they use to access the laptops in school.

Books 

All children have been given a leveled book to take home and read. Please ensure the book is returned to school when it is finished to enable your child to take another book home. They can also use Accelerated reader at school to quiz books they have read at home.

What Year 3 Are Learning About

History: This term the children will be learning about Stone Age Britain.

Science:  The children will be learning about rocks and soils.
