Literacy

Welcome to Reception and our Literacy area 

This is where we will share with you all of  what reception will be completing in literacy , you will be able to share in the story, learn the makaton signs and see some of the childrens work.

For now we wanted to share with you some of our favourite stories that we enjoy.

Reception made their own poems about remembrance using a word collector. They chose which words they wanted to use and each group had different ideas.

This week reception are using the book The Gruffalo as our literacy text. we have made gruffalo crumble for outside and the children will be making their own gruffalo as well as using the charcaters to help alongside their phonics.
