Welcome to Reception and our Literacy area
This is where we will share with you all of what reception will be completing in literacy , you will be able to share in the story, learn the makaton signs and see some of the childrens work.
For now we wanted to share with you some of our favourite stories that we enjoy.
This is a short video explaining about tales toolkit and how it is used in early years.
We have been reading the Little Red text as part of our literacy this week. Reception have been working very hard on talking as the character,making the setting, making masks and practising our writing.
Helicopter stories is a great way to engage reading and story telling with your child. We use this as a whole class as well as small groups in school to help develop children's confidence in their own story telling and also developing their Expressive arts skills.
