A week in Nursery

Each week is different and topics follow the interest of the children along with developing skills that are relevant and necessary for each child. We will also learn about topical events, eg, Remembrance day.

We made a kitchen for Mummy owl and filled it with snakes, mice and spiders - everything the owls like to eat. Once they have finished eating they spit out an owl pellet - they don't like the bones and fur!

Hibernation - we made animals from salt dough and put then made a box for them to hibernate in. We used leaves to keep them warm and then put them in a warm, dry, quiet place.

🎆Fireworks!🎇

We learned that fireworks are hot and so we know we need to keep safe. These videos helped us to find out what we should do to stay safe.

We tried this experiment and it was brilliant! We tried using different fizzy drinks to see what would happen. We made sure we kept the test fair by using 5 mentoes each time! We also tried using fruity Mentoes. The explosion went even higher!

DIWALI! Our Hindu friends are celebrating Diawli, the festival of lights.

After Goldilocks left oats all over the floor we decided to help her to make some things to say 'sorry' to the bears.

SPRING - caring for our world. We have been learning about how we can look after the world around us. Picking up litter, turning off lights to save electricity and recycling are just a few ways we can change our world.
