Eyes on exoplanets is a NASA engine were you can look at all the stars and planets in the Milky Way. To use, Click the "home" button at the top, use your Mouse/Touchpad to move around. Click on any star you see and it willl take you to that system. press "Planet" icon to see all the planets and click on the one you would like to choose, at the bottem of "planet, System, Star, you will see a "compare" button, click and compare to whatever system your looking at, you can compare, Systems, Planets and even stars. Everything you see in this game is real and confirmed and could be the stars you look up at the night sky today.
Hello, and welcome to your complete gateway to the cosmos! Whether you’re fascinated by planets, moons, stars, galaxies, nebulae, black holes, or the tiniest cosmic dust, this website is your one-stop destination to explore everything in the universe. From the familiar orbits of our solar system to the farthest reaches of deep space, you’ll discover the wonders, mysteries, and beauty of the cosmos like never before.
Start close to home with the planets, moons, and other bodies orbiting our Sun. Learn about the rocky inner planets—Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars—each with unique landscapes and secrets. Discover the giant outer planets—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—and their breathtaking moons, rings, and storms.
Explore the dwarf planets, including the famous five—Pluto, Eris, Ceres, Makemake, and Haumea—and a host of dwarf planet candidates like Gonggong, Quaoar, Sedna, Orcus, Salacia, Varda, Varuna, Ixion, and many others. These icy, rocky worlds orbit the Kuiper Belt, scattered disc, and even the inner Oort Cloud, giving us crucial clues about the formation and evolution of the solar system.
Don’t forget the moons, from Earth’s Moon to Jupiter’s Galilean moons, Saturn’s icy satellites, and the moons of distant dwarf planets. Each moon has its own story—some covered in ice, some volcanic, and some potentially capable of harboring life beneath their surfaces.
The solar system is also full of belts and rings:
The Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter, filled with rocky remnants of the early solar system.
The Kuiper Belt, home to icy worlds and dwarf planets like Pluto.
The Scattered Disc and inner Oort Cloud, regions of distant, mysterious objects like Sedna and other extreme TNOs.
And at the center of it all is the Sun, our life-giving star. Its gravity shapes the entire solar system, its light powers life on Earth, and its activity—from solar flares to sunspots—affects everything from space weather to technology on our planet.
Venture further into the cosmic neighborhood and explore stars of all types, from the smallest red dwarfs to massive blue giants. Learn how stars are born in nebulae, clouds of gas and dust where gravity sparks nuclear fusion, creating new suns. Some nebulae glow with brilliant colors, like the Orion Nebula, while others, like the Horsehead Nebula, are dark and mysterious, sculpting the material for future star systems.
Discover stellar life cycles, from star formation to supernova explosions, and the creation of neutron stars and black holes, some of the universe’s most extreme objects. Explore how stars cluster into galaxies, spiral majestically through space, and interact in galaxy clusters across the universe.
Our universe is filled with incredible phenomena beyond planets and stars:
Black holes: regions of space with gravity so strong that not even light can escape.
Pulsars and magnetars: rapidly spinning, highly magnetic stars born from supernovae.
Quasars: supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies, shining brighter than entire galaxies.
Exoplanets: planets orbiting stars beyond our Sun, some potentially habitable.
Comets, asteroids, and meteoroids: remnants of cosmic formation that occasionally visit Earth.
Exploring space helps us understand our origins, the formation of planets, the chemistry of life, and the ultimate fate of the universe. Every planet, moon, asteroid, dwarf planet, star, and nebula tells a story, and together they paint a picture of the vast, dynamic cosmos we inhabit.
