My Mandarin journey has been quite the ride. When I came to Ravenscroft, my parents were ecstatic that they taught Mandarin and wanted to me to learn Mandarin so I can use it in business. When I started the full year in seventh grade, it was so much fun and I loved my teacher. However, when she left, it was tough. In Eighth grade, we didn't have a stable teacher. Then I met 刘老师. She has brought back my joy in Mandarin. I enjoy going to class every day and it is my favorite class. My Mandarin knowledge has come a long way. Now I can recognize many characters and even write them. This is a far cry from 7th grade, as I struggled to even recognize characters. The point of this website is to show you all how far I have come in Mandarin in three-four years, and how much fun it can be.
