Paper Ripping and AR
Grade 2
Students in Grade 2 are writing so many stories in the classroom, so in the Kol-lab we are examining different ways to tell a story. Each student chose a well-loved picture book. They set out to create exciting backdrops for the setting of the story. Sometimes these backdrops closely resembled the pages of the book and sometimes students chose to create their imaginative versions of where the story takes place. They used a technique of ripping and layering paper to create colorful settings full of texture.
Afterwards, the character from the book was added to the scene using AR, augmented reality. Students played around with AR when taking silly photos with the characters.
