Probability Carnival

Grade 7

As their final project in Math, students in Grade 7 came to the Kol-lab for a few blocks to create a Probability Carnival! Each game had to give an edge to the house. Students had to work in groups to design the game, complete the calculations to prove that the advantage goes to the house, then build the game using cardboard and recycled materials. Students and teachers played the games and won tickets. What made this project extra special was that the games were then donated to be used by the younger students at SOAR (Summer Outdoors At Rashi).
