The journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step – thus did our journey in this college begin with our first steps in FYJC. From 18th July, 2012 to 18th February, 2017.  Friendships have been made, broken, remade. Memories have been hoarded and saved carefully for the remainder of our lives. At the cost of being clichéd, this college has given us a lot. But I feel compelled to enlist just a few ways this college has helped us –

It has given us knowledge & opportunities – to show our talent, to compete and to organise competitions, to interact with the outside world like mature adults and thereby prepared us for the world. This college has given us teachers. We are lost lambs, we need guidance and R. A. Podar has just the right mix. Once in FYJC I think, I was standing in one of my economic lectures giving a presentation on some economic topic! When I stood there and was explaining, I realised that me, a girl who always shivered while talking in front of a crowd, wasn't shivering anymore! I could address the crowd with confidence and I am not just about going college and attending lectures! As we say in R. A. Podar, Podarites are born for greater things, I realised I could actually do greater things! I guess that would be my Eureka moment and the whole credit goes to Professor Hema Wad, my economics teacher. This was just one incident but I have had soo many experiences like these that if I begin to write, I don't know how long will I take. To sum it up, every professor in this very College has helped each one of us grow and I am thankful to them & R. A. Podar for that. Just like a Christmas tree is incomplete without the star, so is this testimony incomplete without mentioning our beloved Principal, Dr. Mrs. Shobana Vasudevan. She has been a constant pillar of support and has always imparted wisdom, knowledge and discipline in each student. To conclude this I'd just say, Podar is all about love, friendship and respect, camaraderie, friendship and the joy of peer ship. It basically is an outburst of emotions for all of us.

R. A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics gave me a platform to explore and experiment with untapped areas like research, marketing, and event management, and an opportunity to learn from committed and supportive faculty members and talented peers from diverse backgrounds. Podar has helped me identify my interest in research and finance. The institute has played a major role in shaping my personality and making me a self-assured individual today. I have built friendships that I will cherish forever. I am glad that I am a part of the ever-expanding network of Podarites and will carry on its legacy with pride.
