Late Principal G P Palekar Memorial Lecture is organized by R. A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous), in memory of Late Principal G P Palekar Sir. The memorial lecture was held on Wednesday, Oct 27, 2021, at 5:00 pm.

The GP Palekar Memorial Lecture is to be delivered by a Podar Ratna awardee Mr. Damodar Mauzo on the topic “The Joy of Giving”. Damodar Mauzo, born in Goa, in 1944, is a novelist and short fiction writer, scriptwriter, and critic. He has bagged many state and national level awards for his literary works. Mr. Mauzo was a student of Principal Palekar and graduated in 1966. He was awarded Podar Ratna in 2016.He was awarded the 57th Jnanpith Award in 2021.
