Message From the Board Chair
Talofa lava,
My name is Izzy Ford and I am a parent at Rangikura School and the Chairperson of the Board for our school.
On behalf of the Board, we'd like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to school (albeit slightly delayed), as well as extend a warm welcome to new students, parents and wider family who have just joined our whanau.
This year, one of our initiatives is that we would like to provide more frequent engagement with our community as well as create an active means of constructive communication between our Board and the wider community. As such, you will see a blurb from one of your Board members and the specific portfolios they hold on the Board via News Letters throughout the year and posts on our social media platforms.
To provide you with some background of the Board, our role is to provide leadership and support through independent governance working with Eddie as the principal and his leadership team to provide the best learning and working environment for our students and staff. All Board members are publicly elected volunteers who are also part of our whanau/community. Your Board members are: Elliott Bartley, Nalaska Lotoaso, Kate Te Morenga, Gareth Foster and Jen Dodson is the Staff Board Representative.
The Board and I look forward to continuing to provide you with updates on progress throughout the year.
