While serving on the Student Government can open up a variety of opportunities for me to gain hands-on experience in leadership roles, decision-making, and problem-solving, I also want to be a voice for my peers. I strive to be someone who can not only influence my community but also be someone who allows every student's voice to be heard and who allows everyone to have the opportunity to thrive on our campus. If elected, I will work to ensure that all students feel represented and supported. My main priorities include expanding resources that help promote academic success, mental health, and career development. I also want to help strengthen student involvement by creating more opportunities for collaborations amongst clubs/organizations and advocating for initiatives that reflect the needs of our diverse student body. Lastly, I hope to improve our campus life by supporting different events and programs that help foster inclusion, school spirit, and community engagement. I believe that together we can create a student government that not only listens to students but actively works to make our college experience the best it can be.
“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” This is one of my favorite quotes by Audrey Hepburn. I've always loved this quote because it symbolized how easy it is to look towards the future and how simple events like planting seeds can represent your plan of action. I'm running to be a First Year Senator because I want to plant that garden with my fellow peers. Just like a garden needs sunlight, water, and care to grow, students need communication, activities, and leadership to thrive. Having someone create a community where those needs are met is like tending to the garden. It ensures that the seeds you’ve planted don’t wither away but grow into something meaningful. By working together and supporting one another, we create not just individual success, but a community where everyone’s “garden” can flourish. My goal if I receive the position is to help my fellow peers build their gardens as strong and trustworthy students but also encourage them to make new friends and experinces.
I am running for office for the sole reason of bringing forth the wants and needs of my classmates, in order to create a better environment for everyone attending Randolph. If I am elected, I will do everything I can to make my classmates feel heard, and to make sure that every suggestion is taken seriously. I believe that the student senator is the voice of the people, and I will take that role with pride and seriousness if I get the chance.
I am running for office because I want to be part of something more in this campus throughout my four years here, and running would not only allow me to do that, but enable me to help people through not just me but also the greater resources that the school has available to it. I am running because I want to be that voice for people who are unsure about what they want or the people who are afraid of their ability to speak up. I want to be that bridge between the general student body and the school's government. If elected, I’ll focus on improving student life with more events, clearer communication, wellness support, better facilities, and sustainability projects. I’ll help with inclusion, community service, and transparent feedback systems so every student’s ideas are valued, voices are heard, and our school spirit grows stronger together.
Hello, my name is Joshua Vogl, and I am running for student government because I believe with my hardworking determination and confidence, I can make Randolph College a better place for all students and staff. There will always be challenges that arise for every grade level and I know I would be a great voice for all of the students here at Randolph. One of my biggest goals in college is to meet as many people as possible and while I would be part of the student government this would be very beneficial to not only myself but to the school. As I meet more people and exchange ideas, the information I could gather towards food, activities, and college life could help voice areas of discussion for the student government. I am never afraid of speaking out when something is going wrong and I hope that I can play a very important part in addressing set issues. I am a very outspoken and outgoing person, and I would love to be one of the first-year senators. Thank you.
I’m running for office because I believe every student’s voice needs to be heard. I am outspoken, blunt, optimistic and extroverted. For this reason I know 100% that I will be there and able to have those hard conversations and those moments where we all need to sit and realize what can we do to help our voices be heard. As someone who was student council president of my class for 4 years I take pride in speaking up for others, putting together fun events, speaking up for those that don't know and understand that their words and thoughts matter. During those years i helped organize events for our fellow peers especially seniors and started those hard conversations and open ended questions to get down to what we all want to know and i made lots of original cool events! I want to accomplish having a more outspoken class of students to where change can occur due to us being so consistent and having perseverance and no matter what someone will always find an issue with ANYTHING even if its fixed so i want to cater to everyone that can understand we are in this together and not bump heads and be doubtful. I have a true passion for increasing student involvement in decisions that affect us.
