Hello Second Grade Parents,
The second grade team put a lot of thought into how best to communicate and send materials to continue your students at home learning. We looked at a couple of different platforms to use and decided that google classroom would best fit our needs. They will be using this right away next year in third grade. We understand that it will be something that you will need to help them with at first and we will be available to assist if needed.
Each week we will be providing a choice board in google classroom (directions for accessing google classroom below) for you to use to continue your students learning at home. Each choice board will include all the core subjects. It will be color coded for easy suggestions to follow.
Our recommended daily schedule :
20 minutes of reading (on your own or off the choice board)
30 minutes of choice board options
10 minutes of encore activities-please see bottom of page for link
