The Artifact Box Exchange is a project to help students learn more about their city, state, and region in the context of a simulation that focuses on developing creativity and research skills.
The students spend several weeks in the winter working with all available references to create a mystery box of artifacts representative of their city, state, region. The mystery box is shipped to a participating school located in another state. The receiving classroom must solve the clues to determine exactly what school our students are in and where they are located. In turn, we receive a mystery box and must solve the exact location of their students!
