Welcome to Ms. Gulino's 2021-2022 5th Grade Humanities Class

5th Grade Humanities Class:

Your child will work on reading, writing, social studies and word study within their humanities block. Ramsey has done a great job designing lessons that will complement each other. Also, in my opinion, this experience will set your child up for success at Smith and beyond.

About Ms. Gulino:

I'm a proud product of South Hackensack! I graduated from Hackensack High School in 1992 and then received an AAS, BA and an MA before becoming a school teacher in 2000. I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th and even a year in 7th grade over the course of two decades here in Ramsey.

I'm a proud fur mom of a therapy dog named Cane, and have two sweet cats named Lake and Stone. If I'm not flying south on my time off, I'm spending my time volunteering with Bright and Beautiful Dog Therapy.

SEL Learning:

*For over 8 years now, I pride myself on being a volunteer for Bright & Beautiful Dog Therapy. This is a non-profit org. that takes certified dogs into places of need such as: rehab. centers, nursing homes, schools, and many other places.

*I'm excited to work in a school district that is Stigma- Free and a place in which I am able to give back by bringing in one of Bright & Beautiful's Inc. wonderful dogs named, Cane.

*Along with my experience of therapy work, and over two decades of being an educator, I bring a deep understanding of how important it is to teach children about their social/emotional health.
