In 2017, Gabe pitched for Team Israel in the WBC helping the team to an improbable run deep into the tournament. He pitched a scoreless inning in the opening game of the WBC against Korea in the Gocheok Dome in Seoul. He continued his run with Team Israel across Europe in the Summer of 2019 and pitched in many high leverage situations including starting games against Germany and Italy. He currently lives in Manhattan where he is training for the Olympics.

Goodman generated a tremendous amount of media coverage in the late 90s as his incredible blend of talent and skill lit up the Baltimore community and headlines around the country. He not only set the basketball world aflame, but he paved the way for many future Jewish athletes to look beyond high school in pursuit of their athletic passions.
