As we struggle coping with Coronavirus, our challenges are being addressed. YOU can help senior citizens who are confined to their homes and would welcome a friendly call from an enthusiastic teen, and that’s YOU. I have been in touch with Julie Cohen of SBH (Sephardic Bikur Cholim in Brooklyn) and they have 700 seniors, yes 700, who are looking forward to receiving an encouraging phone call. Please take the time to respond, and Julie will also give you the topics/questions that comfortably encourage conversation, an easy “call.” If you are ready to respond to this request please write to julie@sbhonline.org with a CC to dbenel@ramaz.org.
Stay tuned to another mitzvah you can fulfill for our American Servicemen and women who have just returned from years in Afghanistan, and are now quarantined. They would greatly appreciate a note of gratitude. I am in the process of securing Ft. Bragg’s contact person’s email, thank you.

The Chaplain in Afghanistan is Rabbi Izak. Please click on this link to learn more about the Rabbi, and email a message of chizuk to him and he’ll share it with our soldiers. https://www.army.mil/article/212378/more_than_a_calling_82nd_airborne_rabbi_leads_by_example
Rebbetzin Tamar Izak is on the base at Ft. Bragg, NC where the 300 servicemen and women who just returned from serving in Afghanistan have been quarantined for Coronavirus. The Rebbetzin would greatly appreciate letters of encouragement and gratitude for the soldiers, and she will make sure they are distributed to them. Rebbetzin Tamar’s email is: tmr.izak@gmail.com
