School counselors are there to help your child explore and plan their career and college options, provide academic support such as study skills and time management, and intervene when students face behavioral, physical, or mental health challenges. Not only should children be encouraged to seek out their school counselor if they are in need, but children can also be referred to the school counselor by parents or teachers.
