WHAT IS A VATRE?

A Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) is a special election that asks voters to approve a measure to generate additional revenue to the district's general operating fund.

On November 4th, voters within the RISD boundaries will decide on a Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). The additional 9¢ provides more resources for students, programs, and staff — into Rains ISD.
