Debate club provides students a chance to analyze real world situations and make educated opinions. Students will learn how to research and structure their argument with a team of students they will cooperate with. Students who join debate club have a higher chance of being successful in school. Any student that has a passion for current events and arguing should reach out to Mr. Sorrentino for details.

The National Junior Honor Society is an international student organization that has chapters in middle schools. Students are selected based on their overall average for marking periods 1-3 during 7th grade. They must complete the application process prior to being inducted into the organization. The NJHS is responsible for doing the morning announcements at the Academy along with other community service projects. They also volunteer as escorts and host for orientation and back to school night.
Mr. Sabates
These clubs meet once a week and solve critical thinking Math problems, puzzles, riddles and Challenge problems. We also partake in an online contest in which groups create a real life scenario of a word problem and submit the scenario via video (with waivers) to a national committee. Winners receive cash prizes and trips. We are looking to enter a competition this year (if they are running it) against other schools.
