I started my writing life at a local newspaper when I was twelve. Coming back to journalism as an adult felt like the story writing itself. I currently freelance for the Standard-Examiner and Daily Herald (sister papers under Ogden Newspapers). My coverage focuses on local government, community events, and the people and policies shaping the region. Previously, I wrote as a Staff Writer for the Sanpete Messenger, where I covered city council meetings, school board sessions, public forums, and feature stories. I also handled photography, AP style editing, and contributed to the publication's operational development.
