Dear Valuable Guest,
Welcome to the grounds of the "Mindfully Yours" Resource Center dedicated to providing mindful practical knowledge to those who desire to restore and maintain their for well-being in this stressful world!
This is a safe space for you to start practicing mindfulness which involves paying attention to your thoughts and feelings in the present moment without judging in your daily life. There is a technique or way of thinking, that can help you find a balance and manage stress in a healthy way. It is called mindfulness. Without skills to manage your stress, you will constantly struggle to live a balanced and centered life.
There is almost always something about ourselves that we would really like to change. It might be the way we think, the way we feel, or even the way we look. This is a safe space where self reflection may lead to gradual changes within yourself - you are able to initiate this process right now. We can’t change the future, nor can we change the past. The only thing we have control over is right now and our presence in this moment.
Living mindfully is a conscious decision transforming into a habit, that has real measurable results.
Let's start this fascinating Journey together!
Mindfully Yours,
Yuliya.

Meditation and Practice are two sides of the coin, called "Mindful Life"..

Meditation seems a bit “out there” when you first consider it but the benefits have been scientifically proven . . . repeatedly. And it is really not as strange as you think. Most forms are simply directed relaxation achieved through breathing exercises, body scan, visualization, and structured thoughts - you consciously teach your brain and body to calm down and focus on your breathing.
There are numerous types of meditation from different Teachings and Traditions —from transcendental and trance-based to Qi gong - but one of the simplest types to grasp (and most immediately beneficial) is Mindfulness. It is a powerful technique that teaches you to concentrate on the here and make the present moment powerful and mindful, instead of focusing on what was before or what might be and wasting your time and energy there.
How to start meditating mindfully?
Start Once a Day
You don’t have to meditate for hours. One session per day is perfect for beginners. Each time you will get a little more comfortable easing into a mindful meditative state and each session will become more productive than the last. You can choose any time that works for you to not be disturbed.
Comfortable Position and Clothing Make Meditation Easier
You can practice mindfulness in just about anything - no special dress code required. The key is being comfortable. If your clothes are a distraction, they will make it difficult to center yourself. Try to wear comfortable clothing.
Sit in a Quiet Space
You can adjust your environment by putting on calming music, wearing noise cancelling headphones, or simply put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on your desk, or any other ways that can make you feel more isolated from the noise around.
Breathe Naturally
There isn't a certain breathing pattern for Mindfulness Meditation. The whole point is about finding your own pattern. Your breath goes naturally, without manipulating it . . . just let it flow.
Go Back on Track When Your Mind Is Distracted
It is hard to stay mentally focused even for a short period of time. The digital world we are living in has obligated us to stay alert and process the information every given moment. Don’t be frustrated if your mind is bombarded with mental distractions during the first few meditative sessions. When your mind is trained to let go of all your internal and external disturbances, you will be able to stay focused during the entire meditation. Don’t judge yourself, just let it go, and be back into your calm mode.
Continue Practicing: It is no harder than any muscle exercises
Just like any other exercise, either fitness or any other sport activity, repetition and regularity build the mental muscles and strengthen the joints. The more you practice meditation, the easier it will become. You won't notice when it becomes your body and mind demanding it, same as eating and sleeping. Eventually, you will be able to use your “quiet mind” anywhere and anytime just by concentrating on your breath and your Center.
