Step 4: Check your source data

Make sure the first row in your Google Sheet contains column names, such as Name, Address, City State, Zip Code etc. These column names will be used as *|merge fields|* in your label template.

To be able to merge, you need to have at least one row of data under your column names.

Step 5: Add your text or *|merge fields|*

For identical labels: Enter your label text directly into the label template.

For merged labels: Insert *|merge fields|* into your label template by clicking in the desired location within the template, selecting a field from the Merge Field drop-down and clicking Add.

Repeat this step for all required *|merge fields|*.

*|Merge fields|* are the column names found in the first row of data in your Google Sheet.

Step 6: Browse Avery templates

Click the Label / Envelope field to display a list of label templates.

Step 7: Choose an Avery Template

Select a label template from the list and click Apply.
