QueerCore: Behind the Music, was created to make safe space and feature stories of LGBT heroes, audiences, and allies. We started on college campuses. We have come so far. Since 2012, QueenEarth builds with leaders in various arts and culture communities. Queer Core evolved from music and story sharing to an educational program that advocates for self expression and awareness, using creativity to help communities engage in challenging conversations about equity and inclusion, to share lessons from the healing power of creativity. This evolving showcase has been offered as a workshop, retreat, open mic, and community event for cultural celebrations.
Our growing network includes spiritual communities, schools, arts and culture groups, and professional organizations. Whether music or narrative, stories illuminate culture and allow people to create blueprints for creating desired outcomes. Audiences and clients emerge having investigated themselves and encountering a new desire for change making in the larger community.
QueenEarth has delivered teacher training, arts programming, and professional development. She uses her unique blend of skills and experience to help lead education, arts, and faith communities with creative consulting. She continues to work with organizations and spiritual communities for racial justice, equity, and reparations training, speaking, and professional development. Culture and creativity merge in every facet of her art and professional work.
