December's Project
Holidays Around the World Project
This is a three-part project with extra credit opportunities.
Part 1- Research you country and fill in the "brochure" and answer all questions on it regarding your child's assigned holiday and country.
Part 2- Make a poster or trifold on your child's country. The poster/ trifold must have the following:
A picture of their assigned country's flag and map.
A picture of their assigned country's food eaten during their assigned holiday.
A picture of the assigned country's decorations with an explanation.
A picture of their assigned country's traditions during their assigned holiday with an explanation.
The date in which their assigned holiday takes place is written on the poster. Along with a greeting (hello, goodbye, feliz navidad) that people say to each other during their holiday.
YOUR CHILD MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE ARTICLE OR BOOK ON THEIR ASSIGNED HOLIDAY! This shows me that your child researched their holiday.
Part 3- Dress your child's doll in an appropriate outfit that you would see someone wear during their holiday celebration.
Each student was assigned a country and holiday. Each student will research assigned country and holiday, and then will come to class and teach their friends about the country they were given. To receive full credit, you must research the assigned country!
