Grade Five and Six children enjoyed learning skills in the areas of drawing, construction and textiles in 2021. They investigated the elements of line, shape, space, texture and colour when viewing and creating their artworks.

The children viewed and discussed artworks and techniques used by a variety of artists. The children demonstrated their understandings of the skills the artists used in the design, and skills they used in the creation of their own artworks.

Throughout the year, the children used a range of materials, tools and techniques. All of the areas of the Visual Arts which we explored involved weeks of skill development, perseverance and peer support as the children created their amazing artworks.
