Queen of Peace Primary School is located in Altona Meadows, Melbourne. The school has an enrolment of approximately 500 students and has over 65 staff.
The school is organised in year levels with three classes at each level. Teachers work in year level teams to plan, assess and evaluate together. Class teachers are supported by leaders in learning, learning diversity, literacy, mathematics, wellbeing and mental health. In 2026, leaders will work closely with teachers in classrooms to support the learning of all students.
While teachers are collaborating on planning, students participate in:
Physical education (F - 6)

AUSLAN (3 - 6)
Library (F-2)
Music (3 - 6)
Performing Arts (F - 2)

in ensuring there is a good work/life balance
with access to an employee assistance program
to be the best teachers they can be
The school fosters an environment where all staff members have the opportunity to have their voice heard. This is through the formal consultative committee and through informal discussion. These forums help us continue to enjoy our work and to ensure that we bring all along on the journey.
