State Test:
As your child enters third grade, they will be participating in state testing for the first time. We understand that this can be a new and unfamiliar experience for both students and parents, so we'd like to provide you with information about it. State testing is a series of standardized tests that assess students' progress in key academic areas, typically including reading, and math. These tests are designed to measure how well students are mastering the content and skills outlined in our state's academic standards. Students are allowed to opt out of the test, but we encourage families to participate in the state testing. This usually takes place between March and April.
