Homework in third grade is designed to reinforce the skills and concepts learned in class, promote responsibility, and helps students develop good study habits.
Monday-Thursday: Students will typically have 20-30 minutes of homework each night. This may include reading, math practice, spelling, or completing unfinished classwork.
Friday: No regular homework will be assigned, but students are encouraged to use this time to catch up on reading or practice their skills as needed.
Reading: Students are expected to read for at least 15-20 minutes each night. This can be independent reading or reading with a family member. There will be a reading log going home every night that I would like parents to sign off on to show that their child has read. You can also click on the link below for a copy of it!
