Discovering the difference between 2D and 3D art
Seeing how 3 dimensional art can be turned into a 2 dimensional form
Learning how to use clay and sculpting
Proportions when drawing animals or humans
We use:
Clay, colored pencils, sharpies, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic paint
We learn about:
18th and 19th century English Illustrators
18th century Romantic and Realist art
20th century American artists
*Students are required to write two to three papers a year on an assigned artist from the grade specific era
