Lessons are offered in-person during the school day on Tuesdays and Thursdays; the schedule will be posted in homerooms weekly.
New instrumentalists are required to take a few months of beginner lessons before joining Concert Band.

New musicians have the option to take lessons on any of the instruments listed here.
Any previous band members may continue to take lessons on other instruments if they were already doing so.
If an instrument you would like to receive lessons on is not on this list, contact Mr. DeCarlo with any questions.

We'll be working through the Essential Elements series of books.
When starting on a new instrument, make sure to start with Book 1 for your instrument of choice. Both pitched and non-pitched percussion are found in the Percussion book.
Essential Elements books can be purchased at most music stores (although, notably, not DeLuca), or on Amazon!

To receive lessons and participate in bands, there are two options:
One payment of $500, due Oct. 14th.
Three trimester payments of $175 due Oct. 14th, $175 due Dec. 16th, and $150 on Mar. 24th.
Students opting not to take any lessons at Queen of Angels must provide proof of outside lessons and pay $150 by Oct. 14th to participate in ensembles.
