Keynote Speaker

We are proud to present Linnea Wallen as our Keynote speaker. Linnea Wallen is a Lecturer and PhD Candidate in Public Sociology at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. She joined the first cohort of PALS Leaders in Psychology and Sociology at QMU during her undergraduate degree. Upon graduating in 2020, she took on a PALS coordinator role for her expanding Division, alongside her PhD studies and teaching assistant work. In 2022, she was appointed as a Lecturer and stepped down as PALS coordinator, but still remains involved in PALS research and in encouraging students to join as leaders. The skills and interests she developed as a PALS Leader still inform her teaching and she is currently involved in research projects focusing on PALS leader training, transferable skills developed by leaders and a sense of community and belonging amongst students.
