Mia Rangel

2021: Letter to Future Art Students

My name is Mia Rangel and I am taking AP Studio Art. I am currently a senior, and I’ve been a part of Esperanza's art department for 3 years now. I’d like to start off by saying I’ve never been in an art class like this, especially at school.

In art class, not only are we taught basic techniques, but if I am very interested in experimenting with something new or out of the ordinary, Mrs. Magnin doesn’t think twice before providing me with materials I need and giving me demos.

The one-on-one help I’ve received has been insane, truly. If you are passionate enough to seek out the extra help, you’ll get it.

My art teacher has always pushed me in my art, and I know she wants me to succeed, not only in her class but in my life. It’s really amazing knowing she will always be there to push me into making my art meaningful.

Moving into adulthood, I’ll be more skillful in my artwork and in my life, no matter what profession I follow.

Thank you Mrs. Magnin &  the EHS art department!
