Spanish Department Chair

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Spanish and Psychology. I received my teaching credential from National University and am currently in the process of completing my Masters in Education.

This is my second year teaching at Bernardo Yorba and 7th year working here. I have taught multiple levels of Spanish, ELD, and Gear Up.

I am a native Spanish speaker and have a passion for language and culture.

I graduated from CSUF with my BA in Spanish and then from Chapman University with my MA.

Even though this is my 20th year as a classroom teacher, each year is unique and I'm excited to be here at BYMS!

I've taught all levels of Spanish, Spanish for native speakers and World History for Dual Immersion students.

I am passionate about Dual Immersion and I also have my three children in PYLUSD’s Dual Language Academy.

I love languages!  I speak Spanish, English, Portuguese, and some German.

AVID

I graduated from the University of California, San Diego and continued my education where I pursued my teaching credential at Concordia University. I am proud to be the first in my family to graduate from college.

This will be my first year of teaching; however, I have had vast experience with student mentorship, coaching, and AVID.

I am a native Spanish speaker and have a passion for language and culture.
