In social studies class this year, students will embark on a fascinating year-long journey through the history of From the Medieval Era to the Early Modern Era. Studying these civilizations brings students into contact with the diverse, brilliant, and courageous individuals and groups of people whose actions led to the development of civilization as we know it today.

The curriculum we will use in class was designed and written to take advantage of the insights of National Geographic writers, historians, archaeologists, and explorers. All chapters are intertwined by the spirit of National Geographic's mission, which is to spread knowledge about the world we live in and to prepare students to be active and involved citizens.
