There are many different offerings at PYMS for vocal music. Please take a look at the different descriptions below.
Chorus
Chorus is a class that emphasizes vocal music performance. This class is used to teach students how to sing as a full group while working on fundamental musicianship skills. There are two performances each year for Chorus (one in the winter and one in the spring). This is a great class for students who want to learn how to sing with a low amount of pressure in a large group setting.

Select Choir
Select Choir is an auditioned singing ensemble. This ensemble is used to help students that want to challenge themselves in vocal music. It often includes solos, challenging music, and additional rehearsal time. Select Choir is also our singing ensemble that will go to competitions during the school year. This is a great opportunity for students who want a challenge in vocal music and want to perform with students of a similar vocal ability. Students are required to attend all lessons and rehearsals unless notified ahead of time.
