We are developing laser-based gas sensors that use antiresonant hollow-core fibers (AR HCFs) as gas cells. The main advantage of AR-HCFs is low attenuation in the mid-infrared, even when made from fused silica.

We are developing a transportable, battery-powered sensing system for chamber-based measurements of methane and carbon dioxide emissions. The system combines two near-infrared laser sources with a multi-pass cell to monitor emissions from various soil types.
