Green Screen Tips

• Setup:
  • Pull the green screen tightly across your stand or wall to avoid wrinkles. Use the clips to secure it.
  • Avoid having your subject stand too close to the green screen so that they don't cast a shadow on the screen.
  • Shiny clothing, jewelry, or makeup on subjects may reflect green from the green screen onto the subjects (a.k.a. green spill)
  • Green clothing or additional green screen can create fun effects.
• Lighting tips:
  • Make sure your screen is evenly lighted. This may require trial and error of moving the screen around.
  • Avoid harsh lighting directly above the green screen (it will wash out your subject).
  • Avoid lighting behind the green screen.
