College & Career

At Rolling Hills Middle School we strive to inform our students about the great

opportunities they will have after high school. This is done by providing them

with college and career readiness workshops, activities, and field trips.

COLLEGE PATHWAYS

College is important for many reasons, including long-term financial gain, job stability, career satisfaction and success outside of the workplace. With more and more occupations requiring advanced education, a college degree is critical to your success in today's workforce.

Currently, California offers different college systems for different pathways! This includes 4 year Universities (UC, CSU, Private School), Community College, and Trade School. Each college system require different things before you apply such as a certain GPA, grades, and exams. It is important to start thinking of what pathway you will take after high school.

4 YR COLLEGE REQUIERMENTS

A-G Requirements are a series of required classes students must take in order to be eligible for UC and CSU admission. Students must take and pass the required courses in each area with at least a C or better.

CAREER EXPLORATION

Career Exploration is simply learning about various occupations and their "fit" with your unique career preferences, e.g. the skills, interests and values you want satisfied by your career. Ideally, you engage in career exploration during or after identifying your career preferences through self-assessment.
