What is Academic Advising?

Each student in the Access Program will have an individual advising session with one of the academic interns from the team. During these sessions, the intern and student will check in about their grades, talk about middle school promotion, how to prepare for high school and college/career information. Our goal is to connect and build relationships with students while also hear their feedback about classes, assignments and exams. Through sessions we hope to understand how we can best support students in their academics and reflect this in our activities, workshops and tutoring. The access team at EA Hall wishes for students to leave the meetings feeling motivated to reach for the stars and beyond!
