As this is an accelerated class, students will be covering the second half of the main content of 7th grade, and all the main content for 8th grade.  They will add, subtract, multiply, and divide all decimals and fractions, as well as represent percents.  They will also expand their understanding of reading, writing, and solving expressions, equations, and inequalities.  For 8th grade the main focus will be number sense and operations, algebra, geometry and spatial sense.  In addition, they will solve real world problems with rational numbers (including integers, decimals and fractions).
