As this is an accelerated class, students will be covering all the main content for 6th grade and the first half of the main content of 7th grade.  They will add, subtract, multiply, and divide all decimals, fractions, and mixed numbers.  They will also grow in their understanding of reading, writing, and solving expressions, equations, and inequalities.  In addition, they will be working with geometry and measures of central tendency. For 7th grade, the main focus will be number sense and operations, and they will grow in their understanding of integers and rational numbers.
