Math HW Assignments (2)

Every day in class, we do a math lesson (with very rare exceptions). During Math time, the scholars have a 15-minute independent work time to do their homework page.  I am here to help them if they need me.  If they are unable to complete the homework page in class, they will need to finish it at home that evening and turn it in the following day.  All homework that is finished in class, will return home for you to review with your scholar. Please initial the page at the top right corner, indicating you have reviewed it with your scholar,

** Parents, please review and initial your scholar's HW every night.  There is never HW on Friday.

Scholars will also practice their math wheel multiplication fact pack every night for 10 minutes.  

Reading HW-20 minutes per day, 4 days per week

It is important that your child reads every day for at least 20 minutes.    Please help your child select books that are the right fit for them.  They will enjoy reading so much more if they read books that are at their level and of interest to them.  I will introduce the students to a site called Epic which has thousands of books online for them to choose from if they can’t find a printed book at home they’d like to read.   Students will have a monthly reading calendar that they will record their at-home reading and turn in on the first day of each month.    Reading 20 minutes per day is a homework assignment.
