Our school "concert band" elective class only includes woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone), brass instruments (trumpet, French horn, baritone horn, trombone), and percussion (bells/xylophone and concert drums percussion instruments). The elective class at school does not include the "orchestra" string instruments.

Our after-school jazz band for Las Colinas music students!
Mondays & Wednesdays at Las Colinas in the Band Room D7 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm, from October through May. This program is separate from the regular school elective class. If you are interested or have questions, please just send me an email Reese Copsey.
Auditions for The Off Beats are in September & January, after school at Las Colinas. Membership is by audition, not based on what grade you are in. Playing level is equivalent to the Las Colinas Advanced Band class. Audition requirements are in the "Class Descriptions" tab at the top. We include keyboard, bass, guitar, drum set, as well as concert band instruments. Please email rcopsey@pvsdcamarillo.org or see me to schedule an appointment. Students from all grades are welcome! Join us!! Our 1st time together this year is at the end of September 2024.

Ventura County Middle School Honor Band
Ventura County Middle School Honor Band
Advanced Band Students - Excelling band students are encouraged to audition for the Ventura County Middle School Honor Band. Audition requirements and rehearsal/performance details will be posted (by October) on the Ventura County Honor Band website at www.vchb.org. Students must audition for Reese Copsey by the second week of December if they wish to have their name submitted for the formal audition list (VCMSHB auditions are held in January, with the rehearsals & concert usually scheduled for February).

Students may sign up for the after-school band program that starts at the end of September, including The Off Beats jazz band. The after-school music program includes classes with guitar, strings (violin, cello, etc), orchestra and other programs. Information is on the SOKM website. Current information on all PVSD band activities, flyers, & forms you can download are available on the Save Our Kids Music website .
