Remembering 9/ 11
On September 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked four commercial planes in New York City. Two of these planes crashed into the two Twin Towers. These terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people, and injured more than 6,000 others in the act. Today, we commemorate 9 /11 and the bravery of others involved on September 11. There was a large fountain built where the Twin Towers once stood with the names of those who lost their lives in the tragic events of 9/11 engraved on the railing surrounding the fountains. Lights shine every night where the Twin Towers used to be, with those as far as 60 miles away able to see them.

The Apex Fun Run is back! The Fun Run is a fundraiser to help the school raise money for fun activities! For every student that raises 10 dollars per lap, Apex will donate up to 20 meals to families in need through 'Feeding America.' Grades K-5 will participate in the Fun Run, where students will attempt to run laps and afterward enjoy a cup of Kona Ice. Meanwhile, Middle School will be participating in the Color Run, where students will win packets of colored cornstarch that will be thrown on them while running! Make sure to donate money to the school at apex.com! Family and friends can donate pledges to the school, the pledges can be flat pledges or as dollars per lap.

Do you happen to enjoy making posters? If so, there's a Poster Contest! The theme for the posters is Peace Without Limits. The International prize is $5,000 (only if you're the best in the world) and a trip to the Award Ceremony! The Information is in slideshow next to this text. Picture Days
Picture Days
The picture days are a chance for students to dress their best! Throughout the day, students will go to the Multi-Purpose Room to get their pictures taken. These pictures will end up in the SRTMS Yearbook! Picture days are October 15th and 16th! Makeups are available on the Wednesday, Thursday ,and Friday of that week. We hope to see all of SRTMS smiling faces!
