Students who complete the Math 8 course will learn a range of skills incorporating both algebra and geometry.  They will be able to solve equations and systems of linear equations.  They will be able to connect proportional relationships and lines as well as define, evaluate, and compare functions.  There will be a focus on using radicals and integer exponents.   Students will also understand congruence and similarity, as well as apply the Pythagorean Theorem.
