Grade 9-11 Parent Information Meeting 2020

Course Interest Survey:

Prairie Valley School Division follows a secondary course selection process for students currently in grades 10 and 11. This process provides students with an opportunity to actively consider and participate in the selection of their courses.

The first part of the process is the Course Interest Survey which will occur in December 2023. The career counsellor will present course information and the SK High School Requirements to students from grade 10 to 11. Following the presentation, students will have access to a digital copy of the survey, including videos and resources to discuss with their parents. These resources can be accessed at: https://sites.google.com/pvsd.ca/lhscareer/course-selection

Students will complete an online interest survey in class and input courses they are interested in taking before the January 16th deadline. It is important to note that this is an interest survey only. Course registration for the 2024-25 school year will take place in February.

The results of the survey will help determine which courses could potentially be offered at Lumsden High School. Facilities, technology, and staffing will also all be considered when making final decisions regarding course offerings. Parents will be provided information prior to official course registration and will be involved in the registration process.
